Government of India releases Rs./Nu. 132 million to Gross National Happiness Commission, RGOB

Mrs. Esha Srivastava, Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy, handed over cheques amounting to Rs. /Nu. 132 million to Mr. Passang Dorji, Sr. Planning Officer, GNHC on 18th January, 2018.

This release of funds of worth Rs./Nu. 132 million will fund the PTA Projects (1) Augmentation of TTI-Dekiling to Power Training Institute and (2) Urban Infrastructure Development, Bumthang.

Government of India has committed Rs./Nu. 50000 million as plan assistance for the 11th FYP of Royal Government of Bhutan. The detailed break-up of the commitment is: Rs./Nu. 28000 million for Project Tied Assistance (PTA), Rs./Nu. 8500 million for Small Development Projects (SDP) and Rs./Nu. 8500 million for Programme Grant (PG).

As on date, Government of India has released Rs./Nu. 20645 million for PTA projects, Rs./Nu. 8001 million for SDP and Rs./Nu. 7650 million for Programme Grant and Rs./Nu. 4400 million for Economic Stimulus Plan to RGoB. In total, GoI has released Rs./Nu. 40697 million to RGoB which is 81 % of total GOI commitment for the 11th Five Year Plan Period.
